Steve
Wilson Steve Wilson has been
in the music business since the age of 13 and made his first recording when
he was only 16 years old. He has played professionally with numerous Bluegrass bands including Don Reno and other artists in Tennessee
and Virginia. He plays the dobro, fiddle, banjo, mandolin, and acoustic, bass
and electric guitar. Additionally, Steve provides the lead and harmony for
the Solid Rock CD’s As mastering engineer, he performs the musical arrangements for the group’s
recordings and for many other recording groups in Central Virginia. Steve’s
voice has a perfect pitch and he has a natural ear for music. He also
provides many of the short inspirational messages during their
performances. Steve’s mother,
Betty Wilson, plays the piano for the song Farther Along on their
second CD. Steve also has his own
CD entitled Beautiful Mountains of Virginia. He produced this CD, provided the
melody and co-wrote five of the eight songs with Alonza Nick Lee. Steve wrote
the lyrics and produced the other three songs on this CD. Finally, Steve is employed
at Lynchburg Music where he uses his talents to repair, improve and fine tune
musical instruments. He and his wife Ann live in Amherst and have a
